Recently, it has become very popular for event planners to offer a "Month of Wedding" package. This package is designed to give the bride-to-be some support during the most stressful time before their special day. During the last month before the wedding:
- the final count is due
- the final room setup is due
- guest cards for reserved seating are created
- hotel accomodations are made and managed
- final dress fittings (because someone didn't get it done on time :) )
- final deposits are due
- etc.........
My question to other planners and brides-to-be is what do you think should be offered in a "Month of wedding" package and what should the event planner's fee be based on for this service?
Comments I have rec'd from other sites:
ReplyDeleteThat it is a good question! I think it varies so much from client to client that it is hard to pinpoint what exactly should be done. As far as charges go, I base everything off an hourly fee of $50/hour. I sit down and figure out how much time, on average, it takes to do certain things and how much time I'm willing to invest in travel, communication, computer work, manual labor and so on. It was a very lengthy process to come up with fair pricing for both myself and my client but it was well worth it since I now can present my pricing and feel confident in my charges! As far as what it should include, I'm interested in other people's answers as well!!
